easter basket 2021: quick and easy guide

I

love

care

packages.

LOVE THEM!!

So Easter would be an amazing time to put together a care package, aka Easter basket, especially for an unsaved neighbor or coworker!

Here’s what you’ll need.

1. Something to hold everything

You guys know me . . . I’ll probably run straight to the wicker basket aisle for something like this. You could also use these for your Easter basket:

  • a pail
  • a flower pot
  • a cute lunchbox
  • a tray
  • a mason jar
  • a vase

Don’t feel like you have to be super expensive. You could even use a nice, sturdy, but affordable thick paper tray.

2. Filler items

I’ve collected some ideas below. Choose from one of the three themes for your Easter basket, or make up your own!

Classic Easter

  • Easter eggs (I’ve been itching to try out a cute Pinterest Easter egg DIY for YEARS!)
  • Chocolate rabbit
  • Rabbit-themed items (stationery, keychains, napkins, statue, stuffed animal)

Bible Study in a Box

  • He Is Risen artwork (there’s plenty you could print out online!)
  • Bible highlighters (I personally love these Yoobi ones)
  • Cute notebook
  • Mini New Testament or a single book of the Bible (preferably the Gospels)
  • Easter Bible verse stickers

Spa Day

  • Egg-shaped bath bombs (yes, I saw these at Marshalls the other day)
  • Face masks
  • Nail polish in pastels
  • Face cloth
  • Nail file

3. The gospel!

This is THE MOST important part, especially if you’ll be gifting this to an unsaved person. Put a tract in or purchase a copy of the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. Write a personal letter with your testimony and how Jesus raising from the dead has impacted your life.

Easter is a great time for us to really remember what Christ has done for us . . . and what the people around us could be missing.

It makes me sick when I really look around me and see so many lost souls every day. LA is such a worldly place—botox and plastic surgery offices on every other corner, bars dotted in between them.

Jesus is SO needed here. And He’s needed wherever you are, beloved! Maybe this gift basket could be a nudge in the right direction for someone.
