Literally ask anyone I know. Especially my family.
The problem with me is that my brain never turns off. It’s constantly starting new tabs. Those tabs are often lists of possible terrible outcomes, ways I can fail, and how best to avoid those circumstances.
Before the summer started, I was drowning in fear and worry (Check out this amazing passage in 2 Chronicles that helped me combat fear). I did this little listing thing that really helped me. I never got to finish it but came back to it halfway through the summer and boy did it help!
I know that fear and worry are HUGE, especially right now as a lot of us are adjusting to new school schedules and classes. I’ve been wanting to make videos for a while on practical Christian living topics but couldn’t get past the fact I don’t have a perfect white room with fairy lights.
Well, I’m done worrying about that. I decided to bite the bullet and just start a video series where I’m literally in my car, in a parking lot just talking to you guys. You can watch the video or listen to it as a podcast, but I’m hoping these feel like good conversations with a friend over, what else, but coffee.
I made a YouTube video all about how I am daily, constantly choosing to fight fear (here’s some more reasons you shouldn’t give up). I still struggle (in fact, last night I just needed to sit down and journal all my thoughts), but I know my God is bigger than all that. It’s all about raising Ebenezers (which I talk about in the video).

I just watched this video again yesterday after really struggling with worry. I started listing it all, and I was honestly shocked with how long the list went. I sometimes worry without even realizing it! It was such a comfort to go through my worries this morning and match up attributes of God with them. He’s bigger. He knows. He gives peace. Isn’t it amazing?? I was stunned as well when I just saw it all out there, like “letter vomit” as one of my friends said today. Makes me think of Jesus when He said, “Oh ye of little faith!!” It’s nice to visually get a hold on all our fears and then combat them with Bible truth.
